LMT Communications, Inc. was founded in 1984 to create an indispensible business strategies magazine for dental laboratory decision-makers. That magazine, LMT—Lab Management Today—is formulated to combine management insights, marketing strategies, business “how-to’s,” product updates and educational opportunities in an easy-to-digest format so readers can implement these ideas to meet everyday business challenges.

15th annual LAB DAY East, the largest dental laboratory trade show on the East Coast exclusively for the dental laboratory community. Last year, the show attracted over 900 laboratory owners, managers and technicians from the tri-state area and from as far away as Texas, Virginia and California.

Courses offered by Alexander Wunsche & Peter Pizzi, CDT, MDT 

Alex

Alexander Wunsche was born and raised in Friedrichshafen, Germany. He attended dental technology school in Nuertingen, Germany and obtained his accreditation as a CDT in Friedrichshafen, Germany while working in the family-owned dental laboratory and dental office. Further education in special laboratories for implants and all ceramic restorations was completed in Ravensburg, Germany. He worked extensively in improving the digital workflow for design and fabrication of restorations for dental labs and dental offices in Germany and the United States with a focus in high aesthetic and complex treatments.

Alexander Wunsche manages the production at Zahntechnique Dental Lab in Miami, FL and works together with Klaus Lampmann, CDT. He specializes in complex implant cases and CAD/CAM technology. Alexander Wunsche has lectured for numerous leading Dental Education Programs including Seattle Study Club, Pankey Institute & Chicago Midwinter Meeting for Amann Girrbach.

He published articles for numerous outstanding Dental Lab Publications and is one of the industry’s leading key opinion leaders.

PeterPizzi

Peter Pizzi, CDT, MDT is the owner and manager of Pizzi Dental Studio Inc. in Staten Island, NY and is a board member of the ASMDT and a member of ICIO and AACD.

Mr. Pizzi is an educator in the Master Dental Technician Program of New York University. In addition, he is a Technical Fellow and Board Member of Northeastern Gnathalogical Society. Mr. Pizzi is on the National Advisory Board of Dental Dialogue and frequently lectures to doctors and technicians throughout the United States on a variety of top topics.

The Importance of Occlusion in CAD/CAM Dentistry

As the evolution of technologies continues to grow through the CAD/CAM process, some of our basic knowledge must continue to be incorporated within these newer techniques. Occlusion as we know it is still the most important aspect of dentistry and our ability to understand its functional parameters, and incorporate them into our technical processes, will help to define the importance of dental technicians in the future.
